This insurance CE course provides an in-depth look at how annuities work, types of annuities, state-specific and federal regulation governing their sale and distribution, and more—enabling you to enhance the guidance and service you provide your customers. Topics covered include:

  • Types of annuity contracts and common clauses.
  • Identifying the parties to an annuity.
  • Variable, fixed, and indexed annuity contracts.
  • Taxation of annuity distributions.
  • Assessment of a customer’s retirement plans and annuity suitability.
  • Disclosure and replacement.
  • Common prohibitions in annuity sales.
  • Assessment of buyer competence.

This course is appropriate for Life, Accident & Health licensees, or other producers interested in adding annuity sales and services to their business.
