CE Course Description

In the coming decades, the number of elderly requiring long-term care is projected to increase dramatically—as is the need for dependable Long-Term Care insurance. By choosing to sell LTC insurance, you’re not only entering a lucrative market—you’re also making a difference in people’s lives, by helping them get the coverage they need.

Paying for long-term care isn’t easy. The costs of such care aren’t covered by Medicare or private health insurance plans. Medicaid does cover long-term care, but it’s difficult for many middle-income Americans to qualify—even if they can’t afford the care on their own. That’s where long-term care insurance comes in—and why Washington State will need plenty of insurance producers knowledgeable about the sale of long-term care insurance.

In Washington, those wishing to sell Long-Term Care insurance must complete at least 8 hours of initial study, as well as at least 4 hours of continuing education every two years after. This course satisfies Washington’s requirements for 8 credit hours of initial study. Topics covered include:

  • Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care.
  • Long-Term Care insurance: how it works.
  • Ethical and suitability issues regarding the sale of long-term care.
  • Washington’s Long-Term Care Partnership program.

This course is available for immediate online download. Study online—and meet your licensing education requirements in the comfort of your own home or office, and on your own schedule. Order this course today—and get started offering the Long-Term Care coverage your customers need.
